Our Services

Our services are casual, so come-as-you-are. We start with a mix of contemporary worship music and hymns, with adults and children in the sanctuary. After worship, we dismiss the children to Sunday School classes, while in the sanctuary we teach exegetically, so bring your Bible. We have extras just in case you forget! Some services, we may cover several chapters, and in others maybe just a few verses.

We strive to teach in a distraction-free environment so although we believe that the gifts of the Spirit are active today, we don't believe the Holy Spirit would interrupt His own teaching, so our services are orderly.

Stick around after service to fellowship. You might even be blessed with some biscuits n' gravy.

What We Believe

There is one God who has revealed himself to us in the form of three persons.  These are God the Father, Jesus, his only begotten son, and the Holy Spirit.

God created everything.  He created man in his image.  But man sinned, and because of this and the curse, the earth and every creature must experience death.

But God has made a way for mankind to accept redemption, "For God so loved the world, that He sent his only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

Our Doctrine

The word doctrine in the bible translates to "teachings" in the Greek and "learning" in the Hebrew.  Doctrine is established through teaching from the word of God.  The bible contains 66 books written by 40 different authors over a period of 1500 years.  These authors were prophets and apostles who were inspired (God breathed) to write down the words and works of God as revealed to them by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21)  This was not man's doing, but God's doing.  The word of God originates from Jesus and has existed even before time began (John 1:1-5). Jesus is the word of God made manifest in human flesh, as seen in John 1:14. God is the author of the bible, using human vessels to write, speak, and accomplish His purpose.  As it was written, the men whom God used to record his word taught it, preached it, and lived it, as we continue to do today.

Jesus said "..if you continue in my word, you are my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:31-32). Truth is always found in the word of God.  Science and archeology continue to catch up with the accuracy of scripture.  The enemy's many attempts to destroy God's word will never succeed, and have only made it the best selling book on the planet of all time.

By simply taking heed and reading verse by verse, chapter by chapter, one's life will be transformed from darkness into light.  Knowing that the bible is true begs the question, "Do you believe it?" And if you do believe it, do you obey it?

"Open my eyes that I might behold wondrous things out of your law. I am a stranger in the earth; hide not your commandments from me." (Psalm 119:18-19)
