It started with two ladies in our community having a vision to equip moms and women of all ages to "empower their kids to challenge cultural lies" in an age that grows increasingly dark in time.
It turned into a collaboration between four ladies representing four local churches, and grew into a book club.
The book club was held over the span of 6 weeks from January through March, 2022, at Honey Brook Community Church.
We were blessed to be able to record the sessions, and wanted to keep them available both for the ladies who attended the club, and anyone else who might be blessed and equipped with this supplemental teaching to go alongside the Mama Bear Apologetics book.
The format of our book club was a large group teaching time, which are the recordings here, then we broke out into small groups to discuss the wealth of information presented in the pages of Mama Bear and masterfully presented by Danielle Beiler during our group time.
Danielle Beiler, a local teacher, took the material presented in Mama Bear Apologetics and expounds on it in a way that makes it easy to understand and recognize and truly equips us to "empower our kids to challenge cultural lies"!
Because of the wealth of information presented, we wanted a place to keep these teachings available, Use them to refresh the information you learned at the study, or maybe to go through Mama Bear Apologetics on your own for the first time. Or perhaps you might take the teachings and host your own mini book club in your home :)
Our hope and prayer is that you would find this information to be empowering and equipping, and would be blessed by it!
Important Note: Because our book club was only 6 weeks long and there are 15 chapters in Mama Bear Apologetics, we did not study the book in sequential chapter order! Rather we paired chapters of similar nature together so that Danielle could cover multiple chapters during our large group time.
Our Reading Schedule is as follows:
Session 1: Read the Forward, Introduction, & Chapters 1, 2, & 3
Session 2: Read Chapter 6: Naturalism, & Chapter 7: Skepticism
Session 3: Read Chapter 8: Postmodernism, & Chapter 9: Moral Relativism
Session 4: Read Chapters 10: Emotionalism, Chapter 11: Pluralism, & Chapter 12: New Spirituality
Session 5: Read Chapter 4: Linguistic Theft, Chapter 13: Marxism, & Chapter 15: Progressive Christianity
Session 6: Read Chapter 5: Self-Helpism, & Chapter 14: Feminism
